Origin/meaning
A French Prize (Glorie) taken by Vice Admiral George Anson in 1747 off Finisterre. His Arms show a Lion supporter. The Sun symbolises Glory. The Motto translates as "Glory through unity". The Badge was approved on 6 December 1944.
