Heraldry of the World is a private website which is devoted only to civic heraldry, i.e. coats of arms of cities, states, municipalities, countries etc. It also includes an attempt to make a complete catalogue of heraldic (paper based) collector's items, again with the main focus on civic heraldry.
The wiki-part of the site contains at present 176,793 pages and 294,393 images, the total site has over 60.000 pages. There have been 725,235,687 pageviews since June 2010.

New Coat of arms for the Netherlands.
Based on a long political discussion, whether or not to keep the National arms of the Netherlands based on the arms of the Royal family, a decision has been made and a new law has been passed in Parliament. In this law it is stated that the arms would change to the arms of the Dutch Republic in the 17th century. The lion, arrows and sword remain, but the blue field and golden billets from the family arms have been replaced by a red shield. The Dutch Hoge Raad van Adel is now asked to provide a new (modern) design of the arms, to be introduced by January 1, 2016 on all government institutions.
