Arms of Gråsten

Origin/meaning

The arms were devised in 1948 and show the Gråsten castle, which has often been a residence for the Danish Kings, symbolised by the crown. The herring is canting (sild) for the Sildekulen, the old name of the Nybøl Nor bay.
