Origin/meaning
The arms are those of the former Halikko municipality, granted in 1952 and adopted in 2009.
Before 2009 the town used the arms shown below, granted on September 24, 1949.
The arms show a swimming swan for the local rivers and the importance thereof. The fleur-de-lis is taken from the arms of the city of Turku and refers to the ties to this city. The free canton shows the arms of the Armfelt to indicate that the town was a longtime possession of the family.
