Origin/meaning :
The arms were officially granted on May 11, 1987.

The sword is the symbol of St. Pancratius, the local patron saint. The wavy bend symbolises the Teichl river in the municipality. The pine cone refers to the large forests in the municipality, which cover over 80% of the total area.
