Origin/meaning :
The arms were granted on July 14, 1453.

The arms were granted by Emperor Friedrich III. Vordernberg was a very important borough, as it lies near the Erzberg, the "iron loaf" of Styria (cf. Eisenerz). The arms show several miners working.
