Origin/meaning
The arms were adopted in July 2010.
The pale and the red point are canting, the name means river in a canyon. The sheep heads refer to the importance of sheep farming in the municipality.
The hands in the chief refer to the village of Pachins, as its name is derived from the Roman pactum,menaning a pact. The mill iron refers to the former mill in Pachins. The red colour refers to Cardinal François Marty, Archbishop of Paris, born in Pachins in 1904.
