Official blazon:
Escudo de ouro, pano de muralha de vermelho, lavrado de prata e firmado nos flancos, entre estrela de sete pontas de azul e um pipo de negro, com aros de prata. Coroa mural de prata de três torres. Listel branco, com a legenda a negro: “ MOLEDO – CASTRO DAIRE “.

Origin/meaning :
The arms were officially granted on May 10, 2001.

The star is the symbol of St. Mary, the local patron saint. The brick bar symbolises long inhabitation and the two (former) castles in the area. The barrel symbolises the importance of wine and barrel making in the municipality. Literature : image provided by Sergio Horta
