Official blazon
Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. Description: On a red vertical rectangular embroidered device, arched convexly at top and coming to a 90-degree angle point at base, a white tower issuing from base, surmounted in the center with a black diamond-shape surmounted by a white powder horn with strap; all within a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) yellow border. Overall dimensions are 2 1/4 inches (5.72 cm) in width by 3 1/4 inches (8.26 cm) in length.
Distinctive Unit Insignia. Description: A gold color metal and enamel device 1 3/16 inches (3.02 cm) in height overall consisting of a black diamond shape bearing a white powder horn, mouth to the right, ferruled and stringed gold, at the top a semi-circular scarlet scroll folded back at each side, terminating behind the diamond shape at base and inscribed at the top “MINUTEMEN FOR FREEDOM” in gold letters.
