Official blazon

Shield: Per chevron reversed rayonné Or and Gules, a dragon rampant resting its sinister hind claw on a bayonet fesswise Azure (Cobalt Blue).
Crest: That for the regiments and separated battalions of the Nebraska Army National Guard: From a wreath Or and Gules, an ear of corn in full ear partially husked Proper.
Motto: Through the Flames.

Distinctive Unit Insignia, Description: A Gold metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a hexagonal shield blazoned: Per chevron reversed rayonné Or and Gules, a dragon rampant resting its sinister hind claw on a bayonet fesswise Azure (Cobalt Blue). Attached around the base of the shield, a Drak Blue scroll inscribed "THROUGH THE FLAMES" in Gold letters with Red flames on either side emitting from teh ends of the scrolls.

Origin/meaning

Coblat Blue and Golden Yellow are the Colours of the Chemical Corps. The Dragon santing among flames, symbolises the Fire and Destruction of Chemical Warfare. The Bayonet respresent the Infantry heritage of the Battalion.

The arms were approved on 17 April 2001, and the Distinctive Unit Insignia on 17 April 2000.
