14TH BRIGADE, NORWEGIAN ARMY
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The Spears symbolises the Viking heritage, indicating the Spear "Selshevneren" with which Tore Hund slayed St Olav. This Spear had a particular part in the History of the Brigade Area. The duplication of the Spears symbolises the divition of the Area into two by the Saltfjellet Mountain. Today the Brigade is disbanded.
