19TH (QUEEN ALEXANDRA'S OWN ROYAL) HUSSARS, BRITISH ARMY

History: Raised in 1759 as 19th Light Dragoons, become in 1861 19th Hussars. Disbanded in 1921 but reconstituted in 1922. In 1922 amalgamated with 15th The King's Hussars, British Army to form 15th/19th Hussars.
