Origin/meaning
The Sea Horse holding Wings, symbolizes the Seaborne Aviation Maintenance function of the Battalion.
The Coat of Arms was approved on 2 September 1965. The Distinctive Unit Insignia on 3 November 1965
It was amended to correct the symbolism on 9 February 1970.
