Shield: Argent, three swords one and two, Gules, on a canton of the last a pale of the first and a chief of the like bearing a fleur-de-lis of the second.
Crest: From a wreath Argent and Gules a demi-tower of the first issuing three demi-spears Or, overall and between a United States Army Cavalry saber of the third and a scimitar Sable point down saltirewise, a fleur-de-lis Azure.
Motto: ESSAYONS ET FAISONS (Let Us Try and Let Us Do).

Distinctive Unit Insignia. Description: A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height consisting of a shield blazoned: Argent, three swords one and two, Gules, on a canton of the last a pale of the first and a chief of the like bearing a fleur-de-lis of the second. Attached below and to the sides of the shield a Silver scroll inscribed “ESSAYONS ET FAISONS” in Red letters.
