Redesignated 758 Troop Carrier Squadron, Medium on 24 October 1957. Activated in the Reserve on 16 November 1957. Redesignated: 758 Military Airlift Squadron on 1 January 1967; 758 Tactical Airlift Squadron on 1 March 1972; 758 Airlift Squadron on 1 February 1992. Combat in MTO and ETO, 2 March 1944-26 April 1945. Air transportation for airborne forces and worldwide airlift operations, 1958-.
