Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. Description: A black rectangular shield-shaped device with a black horizontal scroll attached above the shield, all edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) orange border, the overall dimensions 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 1/8 inches (5.40 cm) in width, the shield charged with three orange diagonal stripes extending from the viewer’s upper right to lower left surmounted by the head of a Jaguar couped, orange, detailed black. On the horizontal scroll the letters “ALHS” in orange letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height.

Shoulder Loop Insignia. Description: A gold color metal and enamel insignia 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall, consisting of a shield divided horizontally into two equal halves black over orange, the lower half bearing a gold demi-sun in splendor surmounted by a gold bear on a green enamel mound. Attached below the shield a black enamel arced scroll inscribed “LOS ANGELES USD” in gold letters.
