Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. Description: A white shield-shaped insignia with a white arced scroll attached above the shield, all edged with a 1/8 inch green border, the overall dimensions are 3 inches (7.62 cm) in height and 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in width; centered on the shield the head of a bulldog couped at the neck and collared all green with white eyes, teeth and stubs on the collar; on the scroll the inscription “ALBUQUERQUE” in green letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height.
Shoulder Loop Insignia. Description: A silver color metal and enamel device consisting of a shield with arced scroll attached below the shield, the overall height 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm), on the silver shield three arrows conjoined, the center arrow larger in the vertical center, forming a “W” shape, below in chief a stylized anvil all in green enamel, on the green enamel scroll the inscription “STRENGTH THROUGH DIVERSITY” in silver letters.
Origin/meaning
The Shoulder Sleeve Insignia and Shoulder Loop Insignia was approved on 27 January 1977.
