Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on July 30, 1953.

The arms were already used prior to 1930 and were probably designed by the State Archives. The deer antler refers to Württemberg, the wolf-hook probably is the old village sign, which was also used on the 19th century seals of the village. The red and silver are taken from the arms of the Counts of Helfenstein (in red a silver elephant), to which the village historically belonged.
