BARBERTON
Province: Mpumalanga (until 1994 Transvaal Province)
Incorporated into : Umjindi
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms allude to Barberton being a gold-mining town (the oldest in South Africa). The chief depicts a 19th-century gold-crushing mill, and the base displays three Barberton daisies, which are named after the town (they also appear in the Mpumalanga provincial arms).
