The arms are canting: "bartninkas" refers to "beekeeper" in Lithuanian, or, more exactly, this ancient term differs from the common "beekeeper" ("bitininkas") and refers to "keeper of forest bees living in hollow trees". Bears were sometimes ironically called "bartninkas" for their "care" about bees.
