BESTEIROS

Municipality : Paredes
District : Porto

Brasão de Besteiros (Paredes)

Official blazon

Listel branco, com a legenda a negro: “ BESTEIROS - PAREDES “.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on October 22, 2002.

The four crossbows (bestas) are a canting element, as the history of the name of the parish has to do with crossbows. The wheat ears refer to the agricultural character and the fertile soil in the parish.
