Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted on April 28, 1964.

The arms are identical to the arms of the last Lords of Billy-Montigny, of the Robles family, counts of Anappes. The complete arms show a mural crown (which is a differentiation form the family arms), a crest with a lion and is surrounded with several branches. The motto De long travail, heureuse recompense is also taken from the family arms. The municipality however, uses the War Cross 1914-1918 around the arms as another differentiation.
