BIRGITZ

State : Tirol
District : Innsbruck-Land

Wappen von Birgitz

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on July 18, 1972.

The fibula is a symbol for the long history of the area and was found on a prehistoric site in the village. The division line symbolises the typical 'mountain steps' (Riesenstiege, giant's steps) in the local landscape.
