I rött fält en upprest bäver med blå beväring, därest dylik skall komma till användning, hållande en hammare i högra framfoten, allt i guld, och däröver en ginstam av guld belagd med en röd vävskyttel.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on February 28, 1947.

The beaver symbolises the fact that this animal formerly was common in the area. It also indicates the Lake Bjursen = Beaver Lake.

The hammer symbolises the shoemaking industry. The weavers' shuttle symbolises the textile industry.
