Oorsprong/verklaring:
De drie kruisjes zijn afgeleid van het Land van Strijen, aangezien het grootste deel van het gebied ooit behoorde tot Strijen. De golvende dwarsbalken geven de zee aan. De childhouders zijn de Brabantse leeuwen.
