Additions: 2014 Hermetschwil-Staffeln

Wappen von Bremgarten (Aargau)/Arms (crest) of Bremgarten (Aargau)

Official blazon

In Weiss steigender roter Löwe.

Origin/meaning

The lion is derived from the arms of the Counts of Habsburg, who founded the city in the 13th century. The lion already appeared in the 14th century seals of the city (city rights were granted in 1258).
