Blason de Bus-lès-Artois/Arms of Bus-lès-Artois
Official blazon
French Tiercé en pairle renversé: au 1er de gueules à deux clés d'or passées en sautoir, au 2e d'argent au chêne au naturel, au 3e d'azur à la fleur de lis d'or.
English No blazon/translation known. Please click here to send your (heraldic !) blazon or translation

Origin/meaning

The two keys symbolise Saint Peter, the patron saint of the parish. The oak symbolizes an old wood, which would have given the name of "Bus" (like Bois, forest).

The fleur-de-lis is taken from the coat of arms of the Pelet family, former lords of the village, and can also refer to the coats of arms of the Somme and Picardy.
