Escudo de vermelho, com um círculo de prata carregado de burelas ondadas de azul; em chefe, duas vieiras de ouro realçadas de negro; campanha ondada de prata carregada de uma burela ondada de azul. Coroa mural de prata de quatro torres. Listel branco com a legenda a negro, em maiúsculas : “ CALDELAS - AMARES “.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on May 31, 2000.

The arms show two scallops for St. James (Santiago), the local patron saint. The fountain refers to the local thermal springs. The base refers to the RioHomem and Rio Albito rivers.
