CANADIAN FORCES BASE CHATHAM, CANADA

Coat of arms (crest) of the Canadian Forces Base Chatham, Canada

Official blazon

I front of a fir tree on a mound over water barry wavy, a portcullis / Devant un sapin sis sur monde par-dessus l'eau fascé ondé, une herse.

Origin/meaning

The Portcullis indicates defence. Fir tress are plentiful in the district in which the base is located, and a conventional representation of water is also introduced to indicate the proximity of the River Miramichi.
