The Globe symbolises the spreading of the Results to RAF and Dominion Air Forces around the Globe. The Motto translates as "Arms are worth little without counsel". The Badge was approved in November 1951.

Origin/meaning

The Sword and Key symbolises the Role of the Establishment to perfecting the Use and Knowledge of Fighter Aircraft. The Globe symbolises the spreading of the Results to RAF and Dominion Air Forces around the Globe. The Motto translates as "Arms are worth little without counsel". The Badge was approved in November 1951.
