Département : Loiret

Armoiries de Chaingy

Official blason

De gueules au sautoir cousu d’azur chargé de cinq étoiles d’or.

Origin/meaning

The arms are those of the Micy Abbey, which played a major role in the local history.

The municipality uses, however, a more elaborate non heraldic emblem :

Arms of Chaingy

In this emblem the arms are placed on agricultural land and the Loire river. In the base a vine and a cogwheel for agriculture and industry.
