Shield: Per fess embattled gules and azure in chief a sundial-compass and in base a fleur-de-lys or.
Crest: An anchor azure in front of two gun barrels or in saltire.
Motto: Hope.

Origin/meaning

The Sundial- compass is that of Roger Williams dated 1638, he was the founder of the Colony of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations. The Fleur-de-lys symbolises the services of the French during the Revolution. The embattled line and the Gun barrels symbolises the Coastal Artillery and fortifications. The Anchor and Motto also symbolises Rhode Island.
