Origin/meaning
The first quarter shows the kuta, a tower from which the name is derived. The second quarter shows two hills, symbolising the Colina and Timako hills, and the Rio Grande de Mindanao river. The third quarter shows the city hall and the fourth symbolises the agricultural products of the area.
