CRISTEȘTI

District/county (județ) : Mureș

Stema Cristești

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on February 7, 2007.

The pigeon is a symbol of the desire for peace and harmonious coexistence between the inhabitants. The cross-shaped end of the branch reminds of the old name of the locality, respectively Sancta Cruce, documented in 1332.

The two vessels with identical shapes reproduce a valuable archeological piece from ceramics, from the Roman period.

The head of the goddess Junoa, protector of the family and reconciliation between ethnic groups (Matronalia), signifies an ancient archaeological vestige.

The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
