Blason de Dieulefit

Official blason

  • (fr) Écartelé: au 1er d'azur à six besants d'argent 3, 2 et 1, au chef d'or, au 2e de gueules au vase d'or, au 3e de gueules à la navette d'o rposée en bande, au 4e palé d'argent et d'azur au chef d'or.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted in 1946.

The first and last quarters refer to the arms of the Vesc family, who co-founded the city. The second and third are the two symbols of local craftsmanship: a pot for pottery and a shuttle for spinning.
