The arms show
a canting orange tree for Orange County and the diocese. The tre eis placed on a black hill, symbolising the Saddleback Mountain in the diocese. The waves symbolise the Pacific Ocean.


The arched chief refer to the oldest church in the diocese in San Juan Capistrano. The chief symbolises the patron of the diocese, Our Lady of Gaudeloupe.

The arms show a canting orange tree for Orange County and the diocese. The tre eis placed on a black hill, symbolising the Saddleback Mountain in the diocese. The waves symbolise the Pacific Ocean.
