Escut caironat: d'or, un castell obert de sinople acompanyat de 3 pinyes de sinople posades 2,1; la bordura de gules. Per timbre una corona mural de vila.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on September 9, 1982.

The arms show the castle of Gósol (11th century), that belonged to the barons of Pinós. The canting arms of this family are shown in the coat of arms of the town: In gold three green pine-cones Vert, with a red bordure.
