Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on September 9, 1982.

The arms show the castle of Gósol (11^th century), that belonged to the barons of Pinós. The canting arms of this family are shown in the coat of arms of the town: In gold three green pine-cones Vert, with a red bordure.
