Arms (crest) of Gladsaxe

Origin/meaning

The arms are used since 1948.

The swallow in the lower part symbolises the rapidly growing municipality. The four leaves are a symbol for the four old villages : Buddinge, Gladsaxe, Mørkhøj and Bagsvård.
