Official blazon
English Gold; a lozenge purple charged with an empress' crown proper.

Origin/meaning

The Lozenge is a symbol of a Lady in Heraldry. The Crown was made for Queen Mary's visit to the Delhi Durbar in 1911. The badge was approved on 24 july 1944.
