HMS MAHRATTA, ROYAL NAVY

English Blue; two gauntlet swords in saltire debruised by a circular shield white.

Origin/meaning

A hindu Tribe of Southern India and Badge of the Madras Regiments who generously founded much of the Ship's Cost. The badge was approved in 1941.
