HMS MARY ROSE, ROYAL NAVY
English | White; within a wreath of laurel green a fleur-de-lys blue surmounted by a rose oer pale white and red barbed and seeded proper. |
Origin/meaning
In 1669 Captain Kempthorne, in an earlier Mary Rose, beat of seven Algerine Pirate Ships and saved his Convoy. Mary Rose ws the Sister of King Henry VIII. The badge was approved in 1944.
