Official blazon

I blått fält en uppskjutande, genomgående, krenelerad och med portvalv försedd mur samt däröver en störtad värja med rikt utvecklad handskydd och ett blåss i kors, allt av guld.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 29, 1956.

The arms show a sword, the so-called Skånke-sword in the local church, which supposedly was owned by the 14th century knight Örjan Karlsson.

I have no information on the meaning of the other elements.
