Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on January 20, 1955.
The tree with a crown is taken from the old logo of the Ankarsrum iron factory in the municipality, which was used between 1787-1878. The tree is a cedar tree and was a canting symbol for the owner of the factory in 1787, Peter Christopher Cederbaum.
The shield division symbolises the -berg part of the name, berg meaning mountain.
