Kilpi aaltokoroisesti kulta-sinikatkoinen; yläkentässä punainen vihkiristi, alakentässä palkeittain asetettu kulta-ankkuri.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 17, 1951.

The arms show in the upper part a stone with a cross, which refers to the 14th century stone church in the town. The anchor in the base symbolises the importance of sailing and fishing for the town. The division is the division between the land and the sea.
