English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on May 13, 1986.

The arms refer to the powerful Counts of Isenburg, whose castle in the village was first mentioned in 1103 and of whcih still some ruins remain. The red bars are the oldest arms of the Counts of the so-called Rembold branch. The later Gerlach-branch used black bars, which is represented by the black field.
