Origin/meaningThe arms of the Italian Navy displays the Arms of the Historical Maritime Republics of Venice (field I), Genua (field II), Amalfi (field III) and Pisa (field IV). In the Historical Arms of the Royal Italian Navy during the Mussolini Regime is the Arms of the Royal House of Savoy placed in the middle between two Fasces indicating the Fascist Rule at the time.
