KÉDANGE-SUR-CANNER

Département : Moselle

Blason de Kédange-sur-Canner

Official blason

D'azur à l'aigle d'or, chargée d'une crosse de gueules mouvant de la pointe, accostée de deux lettres capitales S du même.

Origin/meaning

The eagle is taken from the St. Arnould Abbey in Metz, the crosier and the letters stand for the Charterhouse of Rettel (and its patron saint, Saint Sixtus), as the village was a possession of both religious establishments.
