Arms of/Герб Kara

Official blazon

В лазоревом поле вверху серебряные снежинки (без числа), уложенные в бездну.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on May 20, 1999.

The village of Ust-Kara is located in the Arctic tundra, the climate is harsh with a short cool summer and a long cold winter. Winter lasts seven months and is characterized by stable frosty weather with frequent snowfalls and heavy snowstorms. This is symbolised by the arms, which show a snowstorm. The blue is the symbol for the Kara Sea.
