Official blazon

Sinisessä kentässä alhaalta aaltokoron rajoittama, reunoihin ulottuva muuri, jonka keskiosa on sakarainen ja tornimainen; saateena kummallakin puolella pystyssä tammenlehti; kaikki kultaa, keskikäytävä ja ikkunaluukut punaiset.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on February 6, 1950.

The arms show in the upper part three castles, as historically there were three castles or estates in the area. The wavy bar symbolises the Mustionjoki river and the base shows the symbol of iron for the local iron works which started in the 18th cnetury.
