LÁB

Province : Bratislava
District (okres) : Malacky

Láb (Erb, znak)

Official blazon

  • (sk) V zelenom štíte striebrovlasý striebroodetý svätý Ondrej so zlatým nimbom, držiaci pred sebou zlatý ondrejský kríž, sprevádzaný vpravo zlatým polmesiacom, prevýšeným zlatou hviezdou, vľavo zlatým lemešom.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on December 19, 1991.

The whole composition is taken from the only known seal of the village, known since 1616. The saint is the local patron saint, St. Andrew holding the saltire as his symbol. The sun and crescent are generic symbols for eternity and the plough iron is a symbol for agriculture.

The colours were chosen in 1991.
